The stunning Sofia Vergara was as classy as ever at the WHCA Dinner.

The White House Correspondents’ Association (WHCA), an organization of journalists who report on the White House and the President of the USA, hosts a dinner every year that brings together a unique mix of Hollywood celebs, politicians, reporters, tech giants, and sports stars. Nicknamed “Nerdprom” for its awkward mix of high-profile people getting all dolled up for an evening of food and merrymaking, the dinner is basically a “roast” where the major players make fun of each other.

Comedians like Stephen Colbert and Seth Meyers have been the featured entertainer at the WHCA Dinner in the past, and this year it was Joel McHale, best known for his roles in Community, Ted, Spy Kids: All the Time in the World, and Spider-Man 2.

Of course, the WHCA also gives the President a chance to get back at the media’s criticism of him throughout the year, with some light-hearted jabs. President Barack Obama has earned quite a reputation for being witty at this event, and America’s commander-in-chief didn’t disappoint this year, living up to his “comedian-in-chief” nickname.

This year, there was no shortage of entertainment celebs sprinkled among the media and politicians. Sir Patrick Stewart, Sofia Vergara, Zooey Deschanel, Jessica Simpson, Kristen Bell, and Will.i.am were just a few of the noteworthy stars laughing along to McHale’s sharp criticisms.
