Who are the top nominated musicians for the 2013 American Music Awards? Well, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are rockin’ six nominations, including New Single of the Year for “Thrift Shop,” New Artist of the Year, and Artist of the Year. Whew! Talk about skyrocketing to fame and fortune.
The usual suspects are there too, like class acts Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake, who are each sporting five nominations. Robin Thicke, Rihanna, and Florida Georgia Line aren’t looking all that shabby either, nabbing four nominations a piece.
Last year’s three-trophy mega champion, Justin Bieber, didn’t get a single nomination. Maybe… because he’s been acting like a punk all year!
As for live performances, Miley Cyrus and Imagine Dragons will be taking the stage during the show, live at the Nokia Theatre in LA on November 24. Let’s just hope Cyrus doesn’t try to outdo her embarrassing performance at the MTV VMAs. Then again, I wouldn’t put anything past her, and neither would Elton John!
