A computer-animated Peanuts movie?!

Peanuts Snoopy
Snoopy is most definitely ready.

Charlie Brown and Snoopy are getting a 3D makeover, but before all you Peanuts fans cry foul, it actually looks pretty amazing!

BlueSky Studios, who brought you the gorgeously realized Ice Age and Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears A Who flicks, is well aware of the over 6 decades of love people have for Peanuts. So, for the upcoming 20th Century Fox Peanuts movie, they’ve created a wonderful 2D-ish 3D vibe that perfectly brings creator Charles M. Schulz’s style into the modern era.

In a recently released teaser trailer (that you can watch below), Charlie and Snoopy show off their usual hilarious antics in all the glory of computer generated imagery (CGI).

If you’re wondering whether Charles, who passed away in 2000, would approve of his precious creations being digitized, his very own son Craig Schulz wrote the screenplay for the flick! He, along with his own son Bryan Schulz, have not only penned the plot together, they also helped to produce the movie. So, Charles’ legacy as one of the most legendary cartoonists ever will be respected.
