The New York Yankees slugger, Alex Rodriguez (A-Rod), really wants to improve his reputation after being caught red-handed in a major cheating scandal. Investigators have uncovered tons of evidence showing that A-Rod used performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs) from the anti-aging clinic Biogenesis, who may also have provided 20 other players with substances banned from use in baseball. Biogenesis has since been shut down and now the careers of many baseball vets are in serious jeopardy. As for A-Rod, it’s not just his image that’s been wounded. He faces penalties ranging from being suspended for 150 games to being banned from baseball for life! The Yankees legend is also worried about what his daughters think, as he says, “I have two daughters at home, and I’m sensitive to that, and above all, I want to be a role model, continue to be a role model – especially to my girls.” When it comes to PEDs, which allow players to have an unfair advantage on the field by boosting their body’s natural abilities, it’s good to know that the MLB is not messing around. After all, what’s the point of a competition if both sides aren’t following the same rules?
