The upcoming 100-minute animated film, “Henry & Me,” was meant to have Alex Rodriguez as the hero. The movie explores the history of the New York Yankees, including both current and former stars. Investors, however, have decided to cut him from the film because of his recent performance-enhancing drugs controversy. “I love Alex Rodriguez, but I love kids more, and at the end of the day, we don’t want to get caught up with everything that’s happening right now.” said executive producer and Yankees adviser Ray Negron, whose children’s books were an inspiration for the film. “This is too important a message of what we’re trying to relay to kids and we don’t want to get caught up with that … We’ll need to raise more money, but it’s worth it if it means getting a good product out to the kids.”
