Adam Scott is creeping up on Tiger Woods, taking the No. 2 spot in the world rankings after winning The Barclays. The similarities between the two men are eerie, because Scott has Wood’s old caddie, swing, and even his coach. Even his girlfriend, like the ex-wife of Woods, was a former Swedish nanny. Crazy, huh? On an action-packed Sunday game, Woods continued feeling a pain in his back that he blamed on a sleeping on a hotel mattress that was too soft. He actually fell to his knees at one point during the game! Scott is being humble about everything, though. “I started today on a wing and a prayer, I thought,” Scott said. “I played a good round of golf, but I didn’t think it was good enough. But I guess it’s different playing an hour-and-a-half in front of the leaders and the guys who have been under pressure all day than when you’re out there — and I know how they feel. Besides being his second win of the season, along with the Masters, if Scott wins the FedEx Cup, he’ll pose a serious rival to Woods for Player of the Year.
