Baseballs flew in every direction on April 5, when the St. Louis Cardinals defeated the Chicago Cubs 3-0 in the first game of the MLB season.
Weeks later, it’s still too early to tell who’s going to make it to the World Series, especially since last year saw two wild-card teams go head-to-head!
In 2014, the San Francisco Giants beat the Kansas City Royals after a fiercely competitive World Series, where they won 4 games to 3.
So far, Kansas City is off to a strong start this year, with a 14-6 record.
However, the Detroit Tigers are neck and neck, with a 14-7 record.
Meanwhile, in the National League, the New York Mets are leading the pack with 15 wins and 6 losses.
It’s going to be an exciting season, so grab some peanuts and Cracker Jack, strap on a baseball cap, and let’s root, root, root for the home team!
