Batman and Superman
The DC Comics duo will have extra time to gear up for their battles!

Man of Steel fans will need some serious super patience, because the movie has been pushed back from its original July 17, 2015 release date to May 6, 2016!

According to Warner Bros., the delay will give director Zack Snyder and crew “time to realize fully their vision, given the complex visual nature of the story.”

So, it looks like Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot will have to wait a bit longer to put on their Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman tights!

What’s replacing the July 17 release date of the heavily anticipated DC Comics movie? Joe Wright’s live-action untitled Peter Pan film!

Dan Fellman, the president of domestic distribution for Warner Bros. explained, “We know that there is already great anticipation building for the next Super Hero film from Zack Snyder, and we are equally eager to see what he has in store for Superman and Batman as they share the big screen for the first time ever. The summer release corridor is also perfect for Joe Wright’s ambitious new Peter Pan adventure, reimagining the ageless story of the beloved and forever-young hero for audiences worldwide.”

In the meantime,  since 2014 is the year of the Flash, there’ll be plenty of action to whet your appetite. That, and the animated movie Justice League: War is coming out on February 4!
