J.K. Rowling’s incredibly popular 7-book Harry Potter series has sold 450 million copies, spawned 8 films that raked in $7.723 billion, and inspired The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme parks. Now, the books are getting an Illustrated Edition makeover thanks to Potter publishers Bloomsbury and Scholastic, with enough magical artwork by Jim Kay to fill the cavernous halls of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Harry Potter’s quest to defeat the evil Lord Voldemort first began in 1997 when Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was released.
His adventures with Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasley, and other memorable characters like Severus Snape and Albus Dumbledore concluded a decade later, with the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in 2007.
