In a third round upset at the US Open, the former No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki fell, 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 on Saturday night to 173rd-ranked Camilia Giorgi. It was a star-making game for 21-year-old Giorgi who aggressively kept Wozniacki on her toes. Although Wozniacki’s defensive skills were impressive, Giorgi began striking her weak spots and cracking winners strongly in the second set. The Italian Giorgi hit 46 winners to 45 unforced errors, whereas Wozniacki hit only 13 winners to 27 unforced errors.
