After a lot of back-and-forth with LeBron James considering a presidential run for the NBA Players Association, he decided against it. Instead, his close friend and Los Angeles Clippers powerhouse, Chris Paul, has been elected. Paul has served as vice president of the NBPA for the past four year, and has direct knowledge of the union’s inner workings.  Paul says, ”It’s an unbelievable opportunity, a lot of responsibility comes with this position but I’m very fortunate to have an outstanding of committee guys. The past couple of days have been outstanding, the dialogue we’ve had as an executive committee also with the players that have come in town, it was amazing.”
