I can’t think of a single movie more perfectly suited to an ice-skating show than the mega popular Frozen. Can you imagine the glittering sets and swirls of frost? Well, good news for Elsa and Anna fans, because this coming September in Orlando, Florida, you can “Let It Go” with Disney on Ice as they bring a live-action Frozen to life!
If you’re reading this and belting out the songs in your mind (or maybe even out loud!), you’ll be extra excited to learn that the production will feature sing-along performances of the Oscar-winning “Let It Go”, in addition to “Do You Want to Build a Snowman?” and “Fixer Upper”.
It’s no surprise that Disney is milking Frozen for every icy penny it can, because the movie has already made over $1.2 billion worldwide and the soundtrack album has been a huge top-selling hit. The movie’s directors, Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, said they will be giving advice to the creators of the ice-skating show, so you can be sure it won’t be some watered down, melted puddle of lukewarm lameness!
Don’t worry if you’re not a native Floridian or lack the bus fare to reach Orlando, because the Frozen tour will move on to Atlanta, Baltimore, New Jersey, New York, and Minneapolis. Hopefully, they announce some California dates soon!
