Pitching phenomenon Clayton Kershaw and the Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a 7-year, $215 million deal. The agreement is the richest deal for a pitcher in Major League Baseball history, but 25-year-old Kershaw and his wife Ellen plan to use some of their newfound wealth for charity. “Ellen and I understand the effects we can have on a lot of people with this money. We realize to whom much is given much is expected and that’s what we’re going to try and do.” Kershaw and his wife have founded an orphanage called Hope’s Home in the African nation of Zambia and the pitcher has won several awards for his charity work.
