Wednesday’s games flipped fortunes around as the Anaheim Ducks climbed to the top of the NHL heap, taking down the Phoenix Coyotes in a 5-2 game. Their 13-3-1 record (27 points) now leads the league, even in the face of stiff competition from San Jose and Phoenix in the Pacific Division. Meanwhile, the Colorado Avs slipped with a 6-4 loss to the Nashville Predators, tainting their now 12-2-0 record. Last year’s champs, the Chicago Blackhawks, took down the Jets and jumped up to a respectable 10-2-4.
