The Boston Red Sox continue to dominate the top spot in Week 26 of ESPN’s Power Rankings, taking down the Blue jays 5-2. Their backsides, however, are already being targeted by the No. 2, AL-West-winning Oakland A’s, who toppled the Twins 11-7. This is the second straight AL West title for the Oakland A’s, who have now leapt up two spots to sit snugly into second place. The Detroit Tigers are within pouncing distance of their third AL Central crown in a row, despite losing 6-3 to the White Sox, and rose two spots to No. 3. Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Dodgers, champs of the NL West, fell two ranks to No. 4, despite their win against the Padres 1-0 on Monday. The Atlanta Braves, kingpins of the NL East, likewise fell two spots to No. 5, even with their 5-2 win against the Cubs.
