As Thor: The Dark World gears up to hit theaters next month, Marvel fans have been thrown  a delicious bone to keep their Avengers cravings under control: The first full-length trailer for Captain America: The Winter Soldier!

Chris Evans is back as Steve Rogers, a.k.a. Captain America, with his All-American charm, trustworthy honor, and old-fashioned values. The super soldier might not be able to zip around the skies like Tony Stark and Thor, but he’s got plenty of heart, superhuman athletic ability, and smarts to go around.

The footage shows the Captain teaming up with international assassin Natasha Romanoff, a.k.a. Black Widow, played again by the beautiful Scarlet Johansson.

He also seems to be somewhat at odds with Samuel Jackson’s Nick Fury character, which seems to come from Captain America’s idealism coming head-to-head with Nick Fury’s rugged realism.

The movie’s been described by directors Joe and Anthony Russo as a 1970s style spy thriller, so it’s no surprise they recruited Robert Redford to play a senior S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, Alexander Pierce. After all, Redford had roles in 1970s thrillers himself, like Three Days of the Condor.

Judging by the trailer, Captain America: The Winter Soldier looks slick, character-focused, and loads of fun, as the more mortal members of the Avengers takes on the dangerous and mysterious Winter Soldier.
