Google Science Fair
Step right up and make a scientific breakthrough.

Are you a teenager with the next great scientific idea swimming in your head? Well, don’t wait until you graduate college to change the world; the Google Science Fair is calling all teens ages 13-18 to participate in their global competition.

Participants are encouraged to try and solve a scientific mystery of their own choosing, by performing experiments that offer a solution. For instance, last year’s winning projects consisted of a system to alert drivers of oncoming emergency vehicles, a flashlight powered only by the heat of your hand, and an early design for medicine that can cure every version of the flu!

Entries will be judged based on factors such as presentation, research, experiments, data, and observations. The grand prize winners receive a $50,000 scholarship and a trip to the Galapagos Islands. If you’re worried about competing with someone older than you, there’s nothing to fear; the fair is divided by age range. The deadline is May 12, though, so you’ve got less than 90 days to apply. What are you waiting for? Get to it!
