Jason Giambi breaks Hank Aaron’s record

What record did Jason Giambi of the Cleveland Indians break, you ask? He is now the oldest player to have ever hit a walk-off home run – the kind of home run that, in the bottom of the ninth inning, ends a game by giving a team the lead. This past Monday night, when 42-year old Jason Giambi stepped to the plate as a pinch-hitter against the White Sox reliever Ramon Troncoso, he made history by knocking the ball out of the park. The former record holder, Hank Aaron, was 45 days younger than Jason Giambi when he hit his last walk-off.
