Universal Orlando Resort is doubling the size of its popular Harry Potter theme park this summer!
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade first opened in 2010, bringing J.K. Rowling’s series to life for delighted fans. Its Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey re-created Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and attractions like Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff offered thrilling coasters.
Now, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley will be opening in a few months. Iconic shops will offer Quidditch supplies, robes, magical gags, wands, and adorable stuffed owls and Hippogriffs. A London waterfront, recreated with actual London building measurements, will feature a talking shrunken head, the triple-decker Knight Bus, and secret entrances.
Restaurants like The Leaky Cauldron fry up some classic fish and chips (fries), and then Florean Fortescue’s Ice-Cream Parlour can whip up some delicious dessert. For those looking to enjoy a wild ride, Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts will travel through the goblin-run bank on a multidimensional journey. Visitors lucky enough to have a two-park pass can head over to Hogsmeade on the Hogwarts Express, catching the train at King’s Cross Station.
