Who made a lasting impression this past Saturday night, when 12 teams duked it out in Week 2 of the NFL’s preseason? First up, Tyrann Mathieu of the Arizona Cardinals completed 7 tackles in a close win over the Dallas Cowboys, and already seems like a contender for Defensive Rookie of the Year. On the subject of Dallas losing, they had six turnovers. Ouch! The offense from the Cincinnati Bengals tore it up against the Tennessee Titans, with wide receiver Mohamed Sanu’s three receptions, 36 yards, and touchdown, and rookie running back Giovani Bernard’s seven carries for 37 yards and a touchdown. Chris Ivory of the New York Jets was shaky, rushing the ball six times but only gaining 13 yards, while Green Bay Packers rookie Eddie Lacy carried for 40 yards and Jermichael Finley gained a monster 78 yards! Offense for the Miami Dolphins looks good, as Mike Wallace and Ryan Tannehill connected three times for 58 yards and a touchdown. As for the Seahawks? Their defense still looks godly, especially since they caused the Denver Broncos to fumble and returned 106 yards for a touchdown by cornerback Brandon Browner. These are just a few of the highlights from a very action-packed night that has us excited for the regular season!
