The Connecticut Huskies have been crowned national champions after beating the Kentucky Wildcats 60-54. Shabazz Napier brought it hard with 22 points and Ryan Boatright threw in 14 points. For the Wildcats, James Young made 20 points. Taking home their fourth national title, the No. 7 Huskies are the lowest seeded team to win the championship since the No. 8 Villanova Wildcats in 1985. Coach Kevin Ollie is thrilled, since this is his first championship after replacing veteran Jim Calhoun 2 years back. The championship game also featured the highest combined seeds in the history of the national championship game.
