Is it hard hosting the Oscars?

Is there a better host than Ellen DeGeneres? Probably not! Which is why The Academy, also known as the movie industry’s hardest and most prestigious critics, chose her to host this year’s Oscars. The Academy Awards, which are also known as The Oscars, are given annually for cinematic film achievements.

On Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she mentioned how difficult it was to make her decision. “The last time I hosted was in 2007, and it was fun! It was an honor, and it’s a big decision,” DeGeneres told her studio audience, before explaining the process she came up with to determine whether or not she should accept the gig again. “I make a pros and con list,” she said, pulling the piece of paper from her right sock. Yep, her sock! You don’t think the fabric lint got in the way of her decision-making, right? Well, either way, DeGeneres had some pretty good points!

My favorite from her pretty extensive list of reasons, though, is definitely this one! “Pro: I’ll be invited to all the cool Oscar after parties,” she read from her list. “Con: I like to be tucked in by 7:30.” Now, we don’t know how she’s going to manage to get home in time, but you can watch DeGeneres staying up past her bedtime on Sunday, March 2 on ABC.
