Lakers drop the ball in 91-85 loss to Spurs

The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a rocky 1-2 start this season, falling to the San Antonio Spurs 91-85 after a very even back-and-forth game. Tony Parker and Pau Gasol definitely filled in for the missing Duncan and Bryant talent, scoring 24 points and 20 points respectively. The Lakers blew a 15-point lead early on, losing momentum after Xavier Henry took a forehead injury that required nine stitches. Ouch! There was plenty of sloppy play to go around, though, with enough missed layups, missed free throws, missed dunks, and turnovers to make any basketball fan cringe.
