The Staples Center was painted blue on Thursday when the Los Angeles Clippers embarrassed the Lakers in a 142-94 annihilation. In fact, the victory dealt the Lakers a crippling historical first, with the biggest loss in franchise history. Let’s not even talk about how the Lakers just might finish with their worst season since coming to LA in 1959 from Minneapolis. Blake Griffin was strong as always, with 20 points and 11 rebounds, and Darren Collison rocked the game with 24 points. As for the Lakers, Pau Gasol landed 21 points and had 7 rebounds.
