As the snow blankets the ground and lights sparkle around the neighborhood, there are some awesome holiday movies to see in the theater.
If you’re a fan of Disney musicals, it’s time to wander Into the Woods, where fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella, and Rapunzel come together in a single wild adventure. Based on the popular play by Stephen Sondheim, Disney’s Into the Woods brings the classic musical to life with CGI, a delightfully wicked witch played by Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp as the Big Bad Wolf, and enchanting music on December 25.
For those wanting more of a laugh, Ben Stiller is back as night watchman Larry in the third Night at the Museum flick, Secret of the Tomb, which released on December 19. Larry travels the globe to save the magic that brings museum creatures to life, and he’ll reunite with characters new and old. If you miss Robin Williams, who passed away in August, he returns as the wax model of Theodore Roosevelt, the 26th President of the USA. I can’t wait to watch his legendary comedy skills on the silver screen one last time!
