The Final Four of March Madness 2014

By Alejandro Freixes, CCNN Head Writer

The Elite Eight went at it this weekend, and only the Final Four emerged victorious. The No. 1 Florida Gators took the South crown and knocked out the underdogs, after the No. 11 Dayton Flyers fell 62-52. They’ll be going against the alphas of the East, the No. 7 Connecticut Huskies, who defeated the No. 4 Michigan State Spartans in a tough 60-54 match. Meanwhile, the No. 2 Wisconsin Badgers ruled the wild West by edging out a 64-63 win against the No. 1 Arizona Wildcats. On April 5, they’ll face the Midwest’s No. 5 Kentucky Wildcats, who defeated the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines 75-72. Considering how close all the matches were, who knows which two teams will face off on April 7.
