March Madness is upon us, and college basketball fans are leaping up and down in excitement. On Sunday, the brackets were set, with the No. 1 spots taken by the 32-2 Florida Gators in the South, the 30-4 Arizona Wildcats in the West, the unbeaten 34-0 Wichita State Shockers in the Midwest, and the 28-6 Virginia Cavaliers in the East.
On March 18, Round 1 “play-in” games kick off to determine the field of 64, as the last slot in the South against the Gators is still open, and 3 of the Midwest’s 16 openings are undetermined.
Round 2 will hit March 20-21, as each region’s top 16 teams battle for a shot at Round 3, which will take place March 22-23. Then, the Sweet 16 Regional Semifinals go down March 27-28, until only the Elite 8 are left for the March 29-30 Regional Finals. At last, the mega Final Four match will happen on April 5, followed by an epic Championship showdown on April 7.
