The New York Yankees have great faith in their new 7-year, $175 million pitcher, Masahiro Tanaka, and it appears to have been well-placed! On Friday, the former Japanese professional baseball player was watched by both Americans and fans from his homeland, as he debuted in his first regular-season MLB game ever. Melky Cabrera of the Toronto Blue Jays became the first major league hitter to face Tanaka, and it was definitely a rough start for the internationally beloved pitcher. Cabrera hit a high, 1-1 changeup over the right-center field wall! However, Tanaka soon got his mojo flowing, and the Yankees soared to a 7-3 victory!
