Tens of thousands of Miami Heat fans are celebrating yet another championship! The team performed incredibly this year with a record 66 wins, a second straight championship, and a 26-game winning streak during the season. Talk about total domination!
Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra looks forward to the wild celebrations that are going to be rocking Miami, as he says, “We feel like Miami parties better than any city in the world.”
The Miami City Commission, the Miami-Dade-County Board of County Commissioners, and Miami Mayor Tomas Regalado honored the NBA champions. “Next year,” Regalado said, “Repeat! Repeat!”
Miami Heat players, who took the crown after a dramatic Game 7 against the San Antonio Spurs, are basking in the love that their fans are showing. So is their team president, Pat Riley, who says, “It really is about respect. And this is what players, I think, ultimately play for. You don’t merely want to be considered the best of the best in anything you do. You want to be considered the only ones who do what you do. You separate yourselves from the pack. And I don’t think there’s any doubt they’ve separated themselves from the pack this year. And their names are going to be respected and honored.”
Congratulations to Miami Heat, and hopefully the humidity of Florida doesn’t make the parade too hot to handle!
