Michael Bay attacked on set in Hong Kong during Transformers filming

Michael Bay
Who knew Michael Bay was such a tough guy?

I’m sure Michael Bay was wondering where the heck Bumblebee and Optimus Prime were hiding, when two Hong Kong robbers demanded almost $13,000 from him on the set of Transformers.

The thieves, aged 27 and 28, were brothers! Talk about making some bad choices with your siblings. The older one walked up and attacked the director, and then turned on three police officers who tried to help out. Not a good idea…

As for the younger brother, he was arrested on suspicion of assault (threatening to attack someone) and blackmail (trying to force someone to do something they don’t want to), and the older brother was arrested on suspicion of assault as well.

Although Bay suffered some injuries to the right side of his face, he didn’t try to get treated, because he felt his wounds weren’t serious. Instead, filming just carried right on after the conflict.
