From the producer of Harry Potter, Paddington Bear is getting the Hollywood treatment in Paddington!
The movie brings the cuddly character from the children’s classic to the silver screen, as the young Peruvian bear travels to London in search of a home. Ben Whishaw, who starred as Q in the James Bond flick Skyfall, lends his voice to the incredibly polite but oh-so-clumsy Paddington. He’s taken in by the Brown family, who try their very best to help him adjust to indoor life, and soon they’re whisked away on hilarious misadventures.
Nicole Kidman plays the villainess, an evil museum taxidermist named Millicent Clyde, with her uniquely entertaining brand of wickedness. In an attempt to capture poor Paddington and stuff him, she schemes with the Browns’ neighbor, Reginald Curry, who’s played with dastardly charm by Doctor Who’s Peter Capaldi. The excellent CGI effects and live-action scenes offer enough thrills, spills, and heartwarming fun for the whole family.
