NASCAR driver narrowly escapes burning race car

If there’s one thing that gives race car drivers nightmares, it’s fire. When Dirt Modified racer Mike Stofflet rolled his car at Mahoning Valley Speedway in Lehighton, Pennsylvania this past weekend, his car began leaking fuel. In a dramatic video taken right from inside the car, you can see how suddenly it became a furnace of flames!

What’s truly incredible, is that Stofflet got back into the race after and managed to finish in 5th place. Stofflet said, “I am ok… we got it back in the pits and me and my crew got it back together… it worked well… and it was a touch loose and ended up 5th.”
