We’ve forgotten all about Hannah Montana with this new Miley, but it still looks like she’s getting the best of both worlds.

If there’s someone that confuses us more than Justin Bieber, it’s Miley Cyrus. What happened to the sweet, country girl that swore she’d never let Hollywood change her? From provocative dancing to over-the-top lyrics, this “new” Miley isn’t what we expected from Hannah Montana.

However, her latest single, “Wrecking Ball,” is pushing aside her usual partying to give us some original Smilerz in an emotional ballad that’s bringing the tears. The song is a more emotional take on life, reflecting on a previous relationship that ended terribly for both partners. It sounds like your typical teenage breakup track… which is probably why we love it so much!

Now, that isn’t the only Miley news we have for you today! Before hitting the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards, Cyrus debuted the new artwork for her upcoming album, “BANGERZ.” The artwork is seemingly inspired by the 80s, showing Cyrus in front of a fluorescent background while wearing a short black coat. So… what exactly does BANGERZ mean? Well, Cyrus tweeted, “If you don’t know why my record is called BANGERZ you’ll know as soon as you hear it. Nothin but #BANGERZ.” We’re just going to assume it means every song on the album is going to be a hit, and with the sound and lyrics of Wrecking Ball, we can definitely see the success.

Cyrus may be the laughingstock of Hollywood with her new look, but the numbers are coming in and after only a few hours, she’s already number 1 on iTunes. “BANGERZ” is due to come out October 8, and is now available for pre-order.
