NFL: Early winners and losers

Rams
The Vikings rammed the Rams on Sunday.

Just months after the Seattle Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII against the Denver Broncos, pro football season is back to smash your television screens with Sunday funday tackles, fumbles, and touchdowns. So, who impressed?

The Miami Dolphins shoved hard against the New England Patriots in a fierce 33-20 win, thanks to defensive end Cameron Wake’s push against the Patriots’ offense.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints lost to the Atlanta Falcons 34-37, but rookie Brandin Cooks managed seven catches for 77 yards and a touchdown. As for the San Francisco 49ers, they took out the Dallas Cowboys like a wild band of outlaws, crushing them in a 28-17 match.

Then, in one of the most blowout displays of domination, the Minnesota Vikings raided and pillaged the St. Louis Rams in a “no way did that just happen” 34-6 game. At one point, receiver Cordarrelle Patterson seized the Rams by the horns, taking a pitch from the tailback position to the right for a 67-yard run!
