If one game best captured the spirit of Week 6, it was definitely the pummeling that Tom Brady of the New England Patriots gave to the New Orleans Saints. The Pats quarterback ran 70 yards with just 1:08 left in the fourth quarter, completing a 17-yard touchdown pass to Kenbrell Thompkins with just 5 seconds left on the clock, for a 30-27 win. Phew! Talk about cutting it close.
Then, Houston’s QB Matt Schaub went down with an ankle injury, as the Texans were being beaten down by the St. Louis Rams in the third quarter. Now 2-4, the Texans were definitely tackled to the ground by Week 6.
As for the Kansas City Chiefs, even though they’ve been cruising through some easy opposition, their 6-0 is as unbeaten as unbeaten gets. The Oakland Raiders put up a good fight, but the Chiefs held steady in their defense, winning 24-7.
