The NHL season has gotten off to an exciting start, and ESPN recently released its power rankings for Week 2. At the top of the list are the St. Louis Blues, whose win over the Blackhawks last week cemented their 4-0-0 domination. We’re curious to see how they deal with the No. 2 San Jose Sharks in Tuesday’s upcoming match, especially since they’re 5-0-0! In the number 3 slot, the Colorado Avalanche players have buried Toronto, Washington, and Boston in a big pile of ice hockey snow, for a 5-0-0 record. The Toronto Maple Leafs are looking good at 5-1-0, with summer additions Jonathan Bernier and Dave Bolland filling out the team nicely. In the No. 5 spot, the reigning champ Chicago Blackhawks are keeping pace 3-1-1, and get a rematch against rival Blues on Thursday night.
