Sam & Cat
Animated TV shows SpongeBob SquarePants and Sam & Cat rocked it.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards (KCAs) concluded this past Saturday on March 29, and host Mark Wahlberg was a total blast.

After 20,000 gallons of slime dropped, some of which splashed on Wahlberg’s t-shirt and jeans, it was Selena Gomez who stole the show with an inspiring thank you speech after winning Favorite Female Singer. In fact, she was so emotionally caught up in the moment, her eyes teared up as much as the rest of us!

Celebrities lined up on the famously orange-instead-of-red carpet, but not all walked away with the orange blimp trophy. Big winners included the infinitely charming Hunger Games celeb Jennifer Lawrence nailing Favorite Movie Actress (and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire taking Favorite Movie), Nickelodeon’s very own Sam & Cat ran away with Favorite TV Show, boy band heartthrobs One Direction were honored with Favorite Music Group, and comedian wise guy Adam Sandler beat out Johnny Depp, Neil Patrick Harris, and Robert Downey Jr. for Favorite Movie Actor!

Let’s not forget about SpongeBob SquarePants, who soaked up the slime in his spongy yellow hide for Favorite Cartoon, while frost queen Frozen melted hearts as Favorite Animated Movie. Justin Timberlake scored an orange blimp as Favorite Male Singer, while the Diary of a Wimp Kid series hooked bookworms as Favorite Book.
