As Nickelodeon gears up for its Kids’ Choice Awards on March 29 to honor everything from movies to video games, they’ve recently revealed that on July 17, a spinoff show called Kids’ Choice Sports will debut. Airing from UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion, the awards ceremony show will be hosted by former New York Giants football player Michael Strahan.

Strahan has become a media personality ever since he retired from the NFL, hosting TV morning talk show Live! With Kelly and Michael as well as Fox NFL Sunday. Will Nickelodeon dare to slime the massive, 6’5” and 255-pound host?

You can certainly bet that a ton of other mega athletes will be covered in Nick’s trademark green goo to celebrate their achievements!

“It is a real honor to be the inaugural host of the Kids’ Choice Sports awards,” expressed Strahan. “As an athlete and as a father to four kids who grew up with Nickelodeon, I know firsthand what an important role sports plays in kids’ lives. This is going to be a kids’ Super Bowl-sized event that will have the best athletes, the best entertainment, the most fun and, of course, the best slimings the world of sports has ever seen for the whole family to watch together.”
