After beating Jordan Spieth at the Wyndham Championship on Sunday with a birdie on the second hole of a playoff, Patrick Reed won his first PGA Tour title. First, Reed had to recover from a drive on the par-4 10th that almost went out of bounds, placing his second shot 7 feet away from the pin. Spieth got to the green in just two strokes, but then his 10-foot birdie went less than an inch wide of the cup. That set up Reed to sink his birdie putt for a win. He earned a whopping $954,000 for winning the final tournament before the playoffs! Reed built a huge lead with four birdies on the front nine, including three straight, and by the end of the day the leaderboard looked like it did at the start – eight players tightly bunched up.
