Rangers and Blackhawks advance to Conference Finals

On Tuesday night, the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Minnesota Wild 2-1 in Game 6, when Patrick Kane knocked a backhand shot at 9:42 of overtime. Kris Versteeg hit the first goal at 1:58 of the first period, while Corey Crawford made 34 stops for Chicago. They’ll now be heading to the Western Conference Finals, against either the Los Angeles Kings or Anaheim Ducks. As for the Eastern Conference Finals, the New York Rangers took out the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 in Game 7, while goalie Henrik Lundqvist set an NHL record with his 5th straight Game 7 victory. Lundqvist stopped 102 of the final 105 shots in the last 3 games, and now the Rangers will be facing either the Montreal Canadiens or the Boston Bruins.
