Immortal rockers, 50th ACM Awards, and Timberlake’s son

Justin Timberlake is definitely a rockstar, and he even inducted Madonna into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame back in 2008. Will his son, Silas Randall, one day be honored with immortality?

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame welcomed Ringo Starr of The Beatles, Green Day, and others to its hallowed halls, in a ceremony that included performances by Stevie Wonder and musical legends like… well… John Legend!

Starr was the final Beatle to be honored as a solo act, long after former bandmates Paul McCartney, John Lennon, and George Harrison were. The 74-year-old drummer was super ecstatic. As for Green Day, the American punk rock band has remained popular since it first soared to success in 1994. Rock and roll has come a long way since its roots in soul and blues, morphing over the decades from the rebellious tunes of Elvis Presley to the guitar-strumming pop rock of Maroon 5.

You know what else is an American classic? Country music! Miranda Lambert won big at the 50th Academy of Country Music Awards, but the top prize went to Luke Bryan, who landed Entertainer of the Year.

What else did Lambert win? She won Song of the Year for “Automatic,” Album of the Year for Platinum, and an incredible 6th Female Vocalist of the Year award in a row! As for Bryan, he also scored Vocal Event of the Year with Florida Georgia Line for “This Is How We Roll”. Florida Georgia Line even earned Top Vocal Duo, while Vocal Group of the Year went to Little Big Town. Jason Aldean took a bow for Male Vocalist of the Year, and he said, “I’m really stunned, I don’t know what else to say. Three years in a row, thank you, guys, for letting me do this another year.” The audience majorly teared up when Taylor Swift’s mom presented her with the Milestone Award and she gave a very emotional speech.

In other musical news, Justin Timberlake’s wife Jessica Biel gave birth to his baby boy, named Silas Randall!

Yes, you heard right. They didn’t choose a weird name like “River” or “Sunday”! Timberlake showed off his son on Instagram, where Biel held the little bundle of joy in her arms. It looks like Silas will be a Memphis fan, since he was dressed in a Grizzlies shirt and the picture’s caption said “GO GRIZZ!” I’m sure it has something to do with the fact that Timberlake is part owner of the Grizzlies. You can bet that kid will have some serious talent, with a stunning actress as his mom and a musical superstar for his father!
