Roger Federer gone from US Open

Swiss Roger Federer played just plain sloppy in a quick 7-6, 6-3, 6-4 loss to Spain’s Tommy Robredo. Federer doesn’t blame the change of court that happened due to weather, because he admits, “I’ve been practicing on Armstrong, so there’s no excuse there.” He was even excited about playing on the smaller court where he could soak in the fan reactions more closely. “Unfortunately, I didn’t show the game that they could really get into it and get excited about it,” he expressed. “That’s how it goes sometimes.”
