The New England Patriots beat the Seattle Seahawks 28-24 in Super Bowl XLIX on February 1, as millions tuned in for wacky TV commercials and an explosive halftime show with Katy Perry and Lenny Kravitz!
I wonder if anyone will still be talking about deflated footballs? See, following the Patriots’ 45-7 win against the Indianapolis Colts for the National Football Conference Championship, reports claimed that 11 of the 12 balls from the game were 2 pounds per square inch below league standard. Now, evidence seems to show that only 1 of the balls was under-inflated!
Still, even with fully inflated footballs, the Patriots had a fierce match against the Seattle Seahawks, who destroyed the Denver Broncos 43-8 in last year’s Super Bowl.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady was definitely the star of the show, breaking Joe Montana’s Super Bowl touchdown passing record of 11 to become the new leader with 12. Brady, who is 37 years old, showed that he can easily outpace the younger talent. He also won his 3rd Super Bowl MVP, and the Patriots’ win marks his 4th Super Bowl championship victory, tying Montana in both.
