Alright, listen up ladies and gentlemen! This right here is a list of some of the meanest, toughest, and nastiest fast food items you can eat. They are guaranteed to make you fat, unhealthy, and just plain feel gross. Since over 25% of Americans eat fast food every day, it’s important to know exactly how bad you’re treating your body. Keep in mind, the average recommended calorie intake is 2,000. If just one meal brings you close to that, we’ve got a serious problem. So, ready or not, here we go!
Quiznos Large Tuna Melt has almost 1,900 calories. Ouch. That’s basically enough calories for three meals, all rolled into one slimy sandwich of fat. I feel like just reading that sentence gave me a few extra calories. A better option is going with a Quiznos turkey breast on wheat with fat-free balsamic and mozzarella cheese for a way less disgusting 510 calories.
Next up are sodas. Harmless right? Ok, maybe not harmless, but at least not terrible? Wrong! Just one 40-ounce root beer, cola, or orange soda can have over 400 calories in it, which is practically as much as a fast food sandwich. Gross! Next time, just stick to water or unsweetened tea.
Ok, well super sizing something is only a little bit worse than the regular meal, right? Nope! The difference between a supersized meal at, say, McDonald’s, and a smaller-sized meal of the same items can mean the difference between 630 calories and 1,350 calories. So, think twice the next time you want to supersize, otherwise the real thing being supersized will be your own fat!
Fine, well how about little old Starbucks? Coffee and tiny bread snacks… how bad could that be? Well, while not as horrible as other Fast Food chains, here’s some facts you should definitely be aware of. The bacon & gouda sandwich is 350 calories, the zucchini walnut muffin is 490 calories, and the sausage & cheddar has 500 calories. So, ok, while Starbucks is definitely a safer bet than Burger King, you should still only hit up your local coffee shop for breakfast every now and then.
Just to give you a small glimpse of how hard it is to get rid of fast food fat, it can take 30 minutes riding a bike just to burn off one order of medium fries! For a fast food quiz, be sure to visit this website.
