Don’t forget to strap yourself in and keep your hands and legs inside the car, because the Autobots are assembling in yet another Transformers flick! Contrary to popular internet rumors, Transformers 4 will not be called ‘Trans4mers” but rather Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Now, if the title is anything to go by, we can assume that Transformers 4 will include the famous gang of robots that turn into dinosaurs called Dinobots. You know, the really cool Autobots that were always sold out at the store!? If you don’t remember, the team consisted of the leader Grimlock (a T. Rex), Sludge (a Brontosaurus), Slag (a Triceratops), Snarl (a Stegosaurus) and Swoop (a Pterodactyl).
Well, Producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura all but confirmed the Dinobots being featured in the film earlier in the week. “I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the arrival of the Dinobots will give the audience a lot to be excited about,” he said. “The world’s coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including Chinese vehicles, so whether you are a car enthusiast or not, it will be a feast for the eyes.”
Aside from the introduction of Dinobots, the only other news we have on the plot is that Mark Wahlberg will play the lead instead of Shia LaBeouf. The cast includes Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, and T.J. Miller.
Okay, Transformers 3 felt a little empty without Megan Fox, so we’re not too sure how we feel about saying goodbye to LaBeouf. Anyways, Transformers: Age of Extinction rolls out on June 27, 2014!
