When I was in the 6th grade, coming home from school to watch Heroes was part of my daily routine. Can you imagine how devastated I was to hear that they were cancelling it entirely? Anyways, it looks like NBC is saving the cheerleader again, because they’re launching a Heroes reboot sometime in 2015.
Next year, the world of shape-shifting, and super strong heroes returns to television in the form of Heroes Reborn. However, NBC has also confirmed a mini web series called Heroes Reborn: Digital Series that will give insight and background information on all the new characters appearing in the TV series.
Little is known about both reboots, other than the fact that the original creator, Tim Kring, is on board to run the show. NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke confirmed, “We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”
