It was a good year to be Sandra Bullock, whose Gravity-defying performance helped push her into the number one spot on the recently released highest-paid actress list from Forbes magazine.
The 50-year-old actress raked in $51 million from June 2013 to June 2014, and that’s no surprise, considering that Gravity made $716 million and her buddy cop comedy The Heat earned about $230 million globally. So, who else made the list?
Well, the 23-year-old Hunger Games star and Hollywood darling, Jennifer Lawrence, took the number 2 spot. Her films, American Hustle and X-Men: Days of Future Past, brought in megabucks, and so her $34 million bounty for the year isn’t too surprising.
In third place, 45-year-old Jennifer Aniston locked in $31 million, thanks to the hilarious We’re the Millers as well as business deals with Vitamin Water and Aveeno.
Meanwhile, 41-year-old Gwyneth Paltrow rocketed into 4th place with $19 million, thanks in part to her role as the girlfriend of Iron Man’s Tony Stark (played by Robert Downey, Jr.), as well as endorsements from Max Factor makeup and Hugo Boss.
In the number 5 slot was last year’s first place woman, Angelina Jolie, with about $18 million from the magical spellcasting in Disney’s Maleficent.
